What is a Virtual Domain?
A Virtual Domain means having your own domain name (http://www.your-name.com)
without having to install expensive server hardware and software.
With a Virtual Domain, you utilize our server's storage space,
however, you are still represented professionally via your own
personal Internet web address domain name (www.your-name.com)
and by your own personal e-mail address domain name (you@your-name.com).
You should check InterNIC's "WHOIS" service to make
sure that your desired domain name is available.
Who is the InterNIC
The InterNIC is an independent organization responsible for
holding the registration and routing of Internet domain names.
Without this organization, it would be virtually impossible
to maintain sanity on the Internet. Registration fee is $40
for the first two years and $20/year thereafter for your virtual
domain name. If we register your domain name, this fee will
be charged to your account upon account setup..
Can I access my domain address with
or without the "www"?
Yes, you will be able to access the domain address with or
without the "www" in front of the domain name. Example:
[http://www.your-name.com] or [http://your-name.com] is acceptable,
whichever you prefer.
Do you offer dial-up Internet access?
No, we presently do not offer dial-up Internet access.
Are backups available?
Yes, we do backups of your home and WWW directories 3 times
per week. There is a small charge to pull a backup when requested.
Do you handle the domain registration
process?
Yes, we can. Although with recent changes in the Internic,
you now have a choice of registrants. Network solutions no longer
has exclusive control over this. We can complete New registrations
on your behalf and Charge your account the $40 registration
fee, or you can complete new registrations your self. If you
opt to register your own domain, you will need the following
information.

Can I transfer existing domain name
to your servers?
Yes, just be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer
and NOT a new domain. You should keep the service with your
current provider while waiting for InterNIC to complete the
transfer process. We will provide you with a temporary IP address
so you can mirror the site on our server. All email and web
pages will still be accessed from your current site. When InterNIC
announces the completion of the transfer there is a 72 hour
propagation period where visitors could go to either site. At
the end of the 72 hours you should contact your previous host
to have them delete the old domain from their records and update
their DNS record. If you use this same provider for your Internet
access you will not be able to access your domain site until
they update their DNS. When you file a modification, one of
the current listed contacts must ok the move. Internic will
send an email that you must ok to have the redirection of your
domain completed. If the contact email on your domain has changed
from the time you originally registered it, you will need to
fax an authorization to complete the process.
Important Note
Due to recent changes with the Internic, You must complete
the domain modification form to transfer your domain to our
servers. This must be done with the registration service it
was originally setup with. To complete the modification, you
will need the following information from us.
